iQ3 exhibited at this years Gartner Symposium on the Gold Coast. As always, it was a great opportunity to discuss challenges and opportunities facing IT organisations.

The Infrastructure challenges faced by organisations is immense as they strive to rapidly deploy new applications.  The opportunities in data analytics and IoT are real, but many Exec’s are grappling with the concept of how to access IT infrastructure, in order to enable the rapid development and deployment of game-changing applications. There were some fascinating (and varied) views put forward around the merits and practicalities of delivering these services from public cloud and private cloud etc

As a sponsor of the event, iQ3 had the opportunity to present our insights on this topic. The title of our presentation was “Transforming Infrastructure Models to Support Digital Innovation”.  We discussed a case study from one of our customers who is currently developing applications in both AWS and Azure. They have been successful in achieving significantly faster time to deployment, but are now managing multiple environments – (On-premise, AWS, Azure). The presentation discussed how the organisation worked with iQ3 to consolidate backup and DR processes across the various platforms in this very hybrid architecture.

Some of the team also commented on the excellent presentation from NSW eHealth. It covered the digital innovations that eHealth have introduced and on the importance of engaging all stakeholders early and throughout the process.

As expected, the Internet of Things was a big topic at the Symposium. This interest is consistent with the uptake we have seen from our customers. iQ3 is seeking to make this journey easier for our customers as we develop our tailored cloud infrastructure  to enable simple real-time, reliable processing of IoT data. iQ3’s cloud services allow our customers to make extremely fast queries without the hassle of managing infrastructure.

All in all a fantastic four days with great insights into the future of IT. We hope to see you all at Moo Moo Bar next year.
